Can I cancel my booking at The Divine Hima for free?

Yes. On standard dates you can cancel or modify free of charge up to 48 hours before check-in. Inside 48 hours, or for a no-show, one night is charged. On peak festival and event dates the booking requires seven days' notice for a full refund and is non-refundable inside seven days.

Do I have to pay a deposit to book a room?

Flexible rates require no prepayment, only a card guarantee, and are paid in full at check-in. Advance-purchase and peak-date rates are paid at the time of booking. Groups, weddings and retreats pay a 20% deposit with the balance due 14 days before arrival.

What payment methods does The Divine Hima accept?

Credit and debit cards, UPI, net banking and bank transfer are accepted online through the booking engine. Cards, UPI and cash are accepted at the property.

Is it cheaper to book direct with The Divine Hima?

Yes. Direct rates on our own booking engine are consistently lower than the same room on travel sites, because no commission is paid on a direct booking. Phone bookings can be arranged for last-minute stays and special requests.

Online, instantly. Use our booking engine to see live availability and live rates for your dates. Direct rates are consistently lower than the same room on any travel site, because we are not paying commission on them.

By phone or WhatsApp. Call or message +91 86269 83777 and we will hold the room for you. For last-minute stays, same-day arrivals and anything unusual — extra beds, pets, early check-in, a driver in tow — this is the fastest route.

Payment & Deposits

We accept credit and debit cards, UPI, net banking and bank transfer online through the booking engine, and cards, UPI and cash at the property.

Flexible rates — no prepayment. You pay in full at check-in. A valid card is taken as a guarantee against the reservation.
Advance-purchase and peak-date rates — paid in full at the time of booking.
Groups, weddings and retreats — 20% deposit to hold the rooms, balance due 14 days before arrival. Bank transfer details are sent with your confirmation.

All rates are quoted exclusive of GST, which is charged at the government-notified rate for your room tariff. Breakfast-inclusive plans are available on every room category — you will see both room-only and breakfast-inclusive options when you check availability.

Cancellation Policy

The policy that applies to your booking is shown on the rate you select, and again on your confirmation email. There are two tiers:

Standard dates

Free cancellation up to 48 hours before check-in. Cancel or modify by 12:00 noon two days before arrival and you pay nothing.

Inside 48 hours, or in the case of a no-show, one night is charged. The remainder of the stay is released.

Peak dates

Seven days’ notice for a full refund. Inside seven days the booking is non-refundable. A minimum two-night stay applies.

Peak dates are festival and event periods — Dussehra, Diwali week, the Dharamshala International Film Festival, and any announced Dalai Lama teaching dates. These are flagged clearly on the rate before you confirm.

Refunds are processed to the original payment method within 7 to 10 working days. If you booked through a travel site rather than direct, that site’s policy applies and the cancellation must be made through them.

Check-in, Check-out & Good to Know

Check-in from 2:00 pm · check-out by 11:00 am. Early check-in and late check-out are offered free when the house allows — just ask.
Extra beds and children. Extra beds are available in most rooms, and children are welcome. Charges are shown when you select occupancy at booking.
Pets are welcome. Tell us in advance so we can put you in a suitable room.
Your driver stays free. If you arrive with a driver we will accommodate them at no charge and cover a daily meal allowance.
Valid photo ID is required at check-in for every adult guest, and passport plus visa for international guests, as required by Himachal Pradesh law.
